Our approach
Safety-related fields are tracked per SKU and tied to purchase eligibility.
Each catalog item can have an associated safety record covering construction features, warnings, documentation status, and whether production purchase is blocked pending review.
Physical product labels, supplier documentation, and internal review notes take priority over merchandising descriptions. Incomplete documentation blocks production purchase for that SKU until resolved.
Fields tracked per product
- Intended age range (when verified)
- Small detachable parts
- Buttons, snaps, and fasteners
- Drawstrings and cords
- Hood construction
- Decorative attachments
- Choking and small-parts warnings
- Flammability information (when provided on labels)
- Sleepwear classification
- Tracking label information
- Manufacturer information
- Recall status
- Compliance documentation status
Categories under additional scrutiny
The initial catalog excludes or blocks certain categories until reviewed - including sleepwear classified as such, baby jewelry, and garments with neck drawstrings. Products with hoods or decorative attachments receive fastener and detachment review before live sale.
Product page safety display
Individual product pages surface safety-related warnings and documentation status when verified. Values shown as verification required or unknown are not replaced with reassuring defaults.
See also Product Information and Care for specification and label-accurate fields.
Recalls and incidents
Recall status is recorded per SKU when known. If you believe a product presents a safety concern, stop use and contact us with the SKU, lot information from the label if available, and your order reference.
